Writings from Dushna pasha - Pasture of the soul
Written by bishop baraga
Jesus in the Blessed Sacrament speaks to the soul:
Open up for me, dear soul, my beloved bride! Open up
your heart so I may dwell in it and grant you grace and help. You
need a lot of help from me, dear soul. For if you want to devoutly
live in me, you must endure great insult and persecution from the
world. And all this will be possible if you find strength in the Most
Blessed Sacrament. When you worthily receive me, I live in you.
You are then willingly able to suffer all oppression, carry your cross
to follow me, and conquer your enemies. “Never forget to eat this
bread so your heart will not be withered, and dried up like grass”
The soul replies to Jesus:
Oh this is the voice of my Jesus, my beloved bridegroom
who knocks at the door of my heart! O my Jesus! With joy I open
my heart to you. Come and fill me with the love of your Holy
Spirit. Behold, my Jesus! Now I give you everything: my heart, my
memory, my intellect and my will. Do with me according to your
divine will, however it pleases you. – O my Jesus! How your loving
kindness comforts me in my trials and tribulations! You see my
weakness, how I grow weary and withered on the path toward
heaven. And just out of merciful love you also invite me to you, as
you say: “Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened with
troubles, and I will ease your burdens and comfort you.” – Yes, my
Jesus! With great trust I come to you for you yourself invite me.
You yourself, O Jesus, want me to receive you, to partake of you,
and to completely join with you. – O my Jesus! Come into my
heart and fill it completely with your holy love, so from now on I
may always truly and steadfastly love you, embrace your cross with
love, and be able to carry it and follow you.
Glory, praise and love to Jesus in the Blessed Sacrament,
now and forever. Amen.
Our Father…Hail Mary…Glory be…
