celebrating easter

Although Baraga spent much of his life traveling through Marquette, MI, he only spent one Easter there. In the spring of 1867, Baraga spent Easter in the present day Baraga Educational Center and Museum. Although noticeably in pain and ailing from his stroke, he could not be swayed from celebrating Easter. Records show that he enjoyed rolling Easter eggs along the floor, from one end of the house to the other with neighborhood children.
